Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Response in Jacksonville, FL. You will protect clients across utilities and other sites, provide outstanding customer service, and support access control and site operations with a visible security presence.

As a Part-Time Armed Officer, you can build a flexible schedule and use our Claim a Shift platform to explore shifts.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Customer service experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment.
