Allied Universal is hiring for the Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed role in Georgetown, SC. The role requires armed licensure consideration, a background check, and a minimum of 2 years in law enforcement or related fields.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
