Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen by birth or naturalization or a lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Must possess Rhode Island armed security licenses and firearms certification.
• Must pass background checks, physical examinations, and drug screenings.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including shift work, weekends, holidays.
• Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must prepare clear, accurate security and incident reports.
• Proficient with basic office software and devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence and maintain surveillance and access control.
• Conduct routine foot patrols to identify security concerns and hazards.
• Monitor surveillance systems and coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Screen visitors using screening equipment according to procedures.
• Control access to the facility and ensure only authorized entry.
• Document and report incidents and security-related conditions.
• Notify COR or authorities when law enforcement, EMS, or fire response is required.
• Assist with emergency identification and provide directions to staff and visitors.
• Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports.
