GardaWorld Security Services U.S. is hiring a Tactical Security Officer – Armed in Austin, Texas. This role requires vigilance, the ability to read environments, and quick, decisive action to protect people and property.

You will patrol diverse settings such as retail locations, airports, and detention centers, carry an armed Texas license, pass a thorough screening, and work part-time with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Armed Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law.
• Must have an Armed Texas Security license (Commissioned) and meet requirements to carry a firearm.
• Must have a pistol, level 3 holster, handcuffs, extra magazines and duty belt.
• First aid certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• You are able to pass a background check and drug test
• Armed Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience is required
• You're at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Must have an Armed Texas Security license (Commissioned) and meet any additional requirements to carry a firearm as a security officer in the state of Texas.
• Must have a pistol, level 3 holster, 1 pair of handcuffs, 2 additional magazines with holsters, duty belt and carriers
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Must have results of a passing MMPI test
