International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) is seeking qualified and professional security officer candidates for future positions in the Portland, Oregon area. Armed Security Officers with law enforcement and military experience are encouraged to apply.

Applicants MUST meet all of the following minimal conditions:

• Full time and Part time positions available.
• Have prior military / law enforcement experience (preferred but not required).
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction.
• Must NOT have a criminal conviction that would prevent obtaining/maintaining a Security Guard License.
• Ability to speak and write English clearly and with proper grammar.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Must currently hold a valid Oregon Guard Card and Exposed Firearm permit. Taser certification with proof of training is required if applicable.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct patrols and investigations of client property.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and escorts.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates for security.
• Warn violators of rules.
• Apprehend or expel suspicious or criminal persons.
• Report facility issues and criminal activity.
• Prepare accurate reports with proper spelling and grammar.

Prior employment, criminal, and credit history will be verified. Drug testing is mandatory.

Starting hourly rate: $40.00 (based on experience).
