Job Description:

Vaxcom Services, Inc (a Parsons company) is seeking a talented Armed Security Officer (NC) to join our team!

A secret clearance is required.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Control access to the facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and verifying personnel identification.
• Respond to situations on base, escalating force appropriately up to and including armed response, following established Use of Force policies.
• Address incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents during day or night shifts.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activities.
• Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapons systems.
• Attend 40 hours of In-Service Training annually.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active or current Secret Clearance.
• Possess a college or university program certificate; OR two to four years of related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of experience in Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, Security, or the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Ability to pass an annual Physical Fitness Evaluation, including a 1.5-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups.
• Meet minimum qualification standards for NC PPSB Certifications with Glock 17 pistol, Remington 870 Shotgun, and M-4 Carbine.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Completion of FEMA Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800.
