Job Description:

Vaxcom Services, a Parsons company, is seeking an talented Armed Security Officer to join our team of dedicated security professionals.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Maintain professionalism while ensuring high-quality security services for the protection of personnel, property, and information.
2. Control access to the facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and verifying personnel identification and authorization.
3. Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives as outlined in post orders.
4. Perform patrol duties via foot, bike, or vehicle.
5. Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other situations during day or night.
6. Observe and report incidents or suspicious activities.
7. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
8. Respond appropriately using escalation of force policies, including armed response when necessary.
9. Maintain proficiency and safety with all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapons.
10. Complete scheduled training and recertification requirements. All training hours are compensated. Uniforms and equipment are provided.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
2. Minimum age of 21 years (to carry a firearm).
3. High school diploma or GED.
4. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
5. Ability to pass a physical fitness test (including running, crawling, push-ups, sit-ups).
6. Ability to complete New Mexico Armed Guard Level 3 certification (paid during training).
7. Ability to meet standards with Glock 17 pistol and M4 style rifle.
8. Preferred qualifications include: two years of service in the U.S. Armed Services, three years of security experience, an associate degree or higher in security-related fields, police academy training, or a combination of security and military experience.
9. Applicants not meeting these criteria will be considered based on their familiarity with security concepts, customer service skills, and ability to adapt to the role.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team, delivering resources to US government clients to support missions globally. We foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and pride in protecting critical assets.
