Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking an Armed Security Officer Mobile Residential Patrol Driver. In this role you will safeguard residents, deter incidents through visible patrols, and respond professionally to security concerns while representing Allied Universal with integrity.

This is a full-time daytime position paying $25.75 per hour. Requirements include an armed guard card, a valid driver’s license, and being at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the residential community, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; request additional support or emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
