Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Security Police Officer I to help protect Sandia property and personnel on-site. The role requires readiness to respond to alarms, enforce access control, and perform routine security duties in a high-stakes environment.

The position demands U.S. citizenship, a DOE Q clearance or DoD Top Secret, medical/fitness standards, and the ability to work a 12-hour night schedule. A TRF100 certification and a four-year degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• DOE Q-level security clearance or DoD Top Secret required.
• TRF100 (SPOI) certification to start.
• Must be US citizen with valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles.
• Ability to obtain DOE-Q clearance and pass medical/physical/psychological requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, report and respond to alarms on Sandia property.
• Read and follow General Orders, procedures and post orders.
• Maintain routine records and operate communications equipment and vehicles.
• Control access to secure areas and vehicle access as required.
• May perform Security Command Center duties and respond to alarms.
