Job summary

Allied Universal is hosting an open interview hiring event in Winter Haven, Florida for Armed Security Professionals with 2+ years of law enforcement or corrections experience. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available at multiple client sites, with starting pay of $21.50 per hour and a competitive benefits package.

Applicants must meet minimum requirements, present valid licenses, and be prepared for background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license in Florida.
• Ability to pass Allied Universal pre-employment screening.
• Ability to pass client background investigations.
• MVR requirements met.
• D and G security licenses preferred.
• Licensing options discussed during interview.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Provide customer service to clients by following safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CJSTC certification

Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice

Associate’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice

Military service related to law enforcement
