We're hiring reliable, experienced Armed Security Officers! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.

Hourly wage: $25.45
Part-Time; Shifts Include:
- Friday & Saturday: 8a - 4p (16 hours)
- Saturday & Sunday: 12a – 8a (16 hours)
- Saturday & Sunday: 4p – 12a (16 hours)
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
- Give the alarm and assist in response to a fire or emergency
- Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
- Enforce company and client policies
- Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch
- Respond to incidents
- Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
- Use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life
- Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
- Remain on the post until relieved face-to-face
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees, and visitors
- Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
- Secure facility and designated areas
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
Qualifications:
- Must have 10+ years of Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background
- Must have your own 9mm Weapon
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Reliable, positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Armed Security License

Additional Requirements:
- Pass NYS Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol
- Hold NYS Armed Security Guard License
- Law Enforcement and/or Military background
- Complete Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (if not exempt)
- Complete 8 Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing)
- Complete 47-Hour Firearms Training Course:
- 7 Hours of classroom instruction on NYS Penal Law (Article 35)
