We're hiring reliable, experienced, Armed Security Officers! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.

Shifts include:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (40 hours)

Hourly starting wage: $28.88/h (weekly pay!)

Responsibilities:

• Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
• Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle
• Enforce company and client policies
• Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch
• Respond to incidents in a quick manner
• Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
• Use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, only when necessary to protect life
• Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
• Remain on the post and wait until proper relief arrives
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Qualifications:

• Must have 10+ years of Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background
• Must have your own 9mm Weapon
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Reliable, positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 21 years old
• Armed Security License

Additional Requirements:

Armed Security Officers must pass specific requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations.

• New York State Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol
• NYS Armed Security Guard License
• Law Enforcement and/or Military background
• Complete required training courses, including:
• 8 Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing)
• 47-Hour Firearms Training Course, including classroom and range instruction
• Annual in-service training: 8 hours security, 8 hours firearms, 3 hours Use of Force, 5 hours range qualification, and 4 hours Defense Tactics
