Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to provide armed protective services for a high-profile client. Duties include armed patrols, access control, CCTV and alarm monitoring, incident reporting, and customer service, with strict adherence to security protocols.

This is a full-time position in California requiring 21+ years of age, US citizenship, and prior armed security or related experience. Pay rate is $38.00/hour plus $6.80/hour for H&W, with benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are state/local and may be required prior to employment.
• Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid from the AHA or ARC.
• Federal and state firearms qualifications.
• National Weapons Detection Training Program (NWDTP) certification.
• OC, Baton and handcuffing certification.
• Defensive tactics and de-escalation tactics certification.
• Minimum of two years armed security experience or equivalent military/law enforcement background.
• Minimum of 21 years of age, or higher as required by law.
• Able to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Effective oral and written communication; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security patrols and access control.
• Report safety concerns and incidents in writing and verbally.
• Respond to emergencies per protocol and site orders.
• Greet visitors and staff; assist as needed.
• Patrol the facility on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms; coordinate with client and responders.
