Job summary

Top Guard Security is seeking qualified armed security officers for a full‑time role in Hampton, VA. The positions require an active DCJS Armed Card, the ability to perform extended shifts, and a commitment to professional customer service.

You will monitor client facilities, document incidents, and communicate with Top Guard management and client contacts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, supplemental insurance, paid vacation, and holiday

Qualifications

• Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times, maintaining company expectations for customer service
• Situational decision making; notifications to appropriate personnel as needed
• Have a current active DCJS Armed Card.
• Effective Verbal and Written Communication.
• Great Customer Service Skills
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Reliable Transportation is a MUST!
• Military, Corrections, Security Exp and or Law Enforcement experience preferred (1 year or more).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check as a condition of employment
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift
• Speak audibly, clearly and understandable to be understood or contact authorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility and property of assigned client
• Be professional at all times maintaining company expectations for customer service
• Adhere to the rules of Top Guard and client parameters
• Situational decision making; notifications to appropriate personnel if needed
• Write reports either on provided electronic device or on paper
• Make appropriate notifications to client’s assigned contact and Top Guard’s management
