Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System’s Crittenton Children’s Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join our team in Kansas City. You will patrol the campus, respond to security incidents, report issues, and assist with parking and access control, delivering reliable protection for employees, patients and visitors.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of applicable experience, holds a valid driver’s license (Class E) and can work autonomously or with a team.

Qualifications

• Two years of applicable security experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists employees, patients and visitors with security needs on campus.
• Assist with parking needs, and control entrances and exits to parking lots.
• Patrols hospital campus and reports safety issues according to procedures.
• Provide personal escorts and other routine security services.

Job description

Crittenton Children’s Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join our team.

You will be required to know all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures.

Must be 21 years old.

Shift Details

Full time Day shift position. Current hours are 5:45am-6:15pm, 36 hours a week, three 12-hour shifts.

We are proud to offer highly competitive salaries to our Public Safety Officers based on education, certification, and experience. Starting hourly rate is $25.00.

Responsibilities

• Assists employees patients and visitors with security needs while on the campus
• Assist with parking needs, controlling entrances and exits to parking lots
• Patrols hospital campus and reports safety security issues according to department procedures
• Provides personal escorts and other routine security services to employees patients and visitors

We are looking for someone that is excited about working with people and has a positive attitude.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, willingness to work, is adaptable and eager to learn. This position will require you to work autonomously as well as with a team.
