Job summary

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our team. This position patrols the campus, secures entrances/exits, and reports incidents according to department procedures while assisting staff, patients, and visitors with safety needs.

You must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and be prepared to work a full-time day shift (6am–4pm) with wheel rotation. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities within

Qualifications

• Applicable experience: Less than 1 year in armed private security
• Armed Private Officer experience or certification considered
• Driver's License required
• Basic Life Support (RQI) or equivalent/ CPR knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Patrols hospital campus and reports safety and security issues according to procedures
• Controls entrances and exits to parking lots and manages parking needs for employees, patients and visitors
• Provides personal escorts and security services to staff, patients and visitors
• Assists with maintaining a safe and secure environment and responds autonomously or as part of a team

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our team.

You will be required to know all aspects of security, including: patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position.

Shift Details:

Full Time Day 6am-4pm, Wheel Rotation. We are proud to offer highly competitive salaries to our Security Officers based on education, certification, and experience. Starting hourly rate is $25.00/hr.

The Work:

Assists employees patients and visitors with parking needs controlling entrances and exits to parking lots Patrols hospital campus and reports safety security issues according to department procedures Provides personal escorts and other routine security services to employees patients and visitors
