Job summary

Allied Universal in Salem, VA is seeking a Security Officer Licensed Armed Patrol for full-time hours. The role involves serving government transportation facilities, conducting armed patrols, managing access, and maintaining a professional presence to deter incidents.

You will respond to emergencies with sound judgment and prepare detailed incident reports. The position requires an armed guard card/license, at least 21 years old, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Maintain required armed officer qualifications, carry assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, and prepare accurate incident and patrol reports.
