Armed Security Officer - FPS/DHS Contract

Essential Functions

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, employees, and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergency situations following MaxSent protocols.
• Understand site-specific operations, manuals, and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees in a friendly manner, answer questions, and assist visitors and employees.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
• Patrol the facility on foot or via vehicle.
• Answer phones, greet guests, and monitor CCTV systems and alarms.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Meet at least one of the following criteria: 2 years of armed security experience, military or National Guard service, completion of law enforcement training, or police training courses.
• Prior firearms experience preferred.
• DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle emergencies effectively.

Pay

$32.25 - $28.50 per hour, plus $4.75 Health & Welfare benefits.
