Essential Functions:

  1. Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  2. Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
  3. Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
  4. Handle security issues and emergency situations according to MaxSent protocol.
  5. Understand site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
  6. Greet visitors and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
  7. Answer questions and assist visitors and employees.
  8. Remain flexible to an ever-changing environment; adapts well to different situations.
  9. Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
  10. Answer phones, greet guests and employees.
  11. Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements AND possess a high school diploma or GED.
  2. Must meet at least ONE of the following italicized criteria:
  3. 2 years of armed security experience
  4. 2 years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve)
  5. Successful completion of state-certified law enforcement education and training
  6. Successful completion of police officers' standard training courses
  7. Candidates should have prior firearms experience.
  8. DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred.
  9. Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required; verbal and written fluency in English is required.
  10. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently.
  11. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  12. Neat and professional appearance.
  13. Friendly and professional demeanor.
  14. Ability to provide quality customer service.
  15. Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively at client site.
  16. Candidates must complete pre-employment background, drug screen, physical exam, and reference check.
