Job summary

Central Security Agency is a licensed Illinois security agency seeking reliable security guards to monitor premises, deter theft, and respond to emergencies. You will thoroughly inspect doors and gates, enforce rules, and report any hazards.

Shifts include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. A valid PERC card and high school diploma are required; prior armed/unarmed security experience is preferred. Strong observation, reporting, and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid PERC card.
• Previous experience as a Amred and / or Unarmed Security Guard is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures.
• Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability.
• Ability to operate surveillance equipment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to work with and without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on the organization's needs.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
• Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations.
• Monitor surveillance and security alarm systems.
• Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
• Keep detailed logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
• Other duties assigned by Central Security Management
