Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX seeks an Armed Security Officer - Flex to patrol, monitor and protect client sites across multiple industries. You will leverage a flexible shift-pickup platform to claim available shifts, shaping a schedule that fits your availability while gaining diverse site experience.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent (or 5 years experience), a valid driver's license, background check, and occasional drug screening. You may be armed (21+).

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license if operating a company or client vehicle.
• Background investigation required; may consider applicants with criminal histories per law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 (21 if armed).
• Be reliable and able to adapt to different post assignments.
• Able to operate radio/console equipment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire in emergencies.
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and control access points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
