Job summary

Allied Universal in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Security Officer – Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response to provide reliable, scheduled coverage at a designated site and support security operations with professional presence. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and cooperate with clients to maintain safety.

The role offers flexible anchor shifts, opportunities to pick up extra hours, and a path toward full-time security careers.

Qualifications

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
