PGSUSA in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time role. You will maintain a professional presence, deter threats, and respond to incidents to protect people and property.

The ideal candidate holds a valid private security license and an armed 36-hour license where applicable, can work in high-stress environments, and is committed to integrity and customer service. This position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for growth within a trusted security

Qualifications

• Valid private security license.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred.
• Armed license (36-hour) preferred.
• Must be able to work at Milwaukee facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure safety.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security licensure in Wisconsin.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid private security license.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
• Preferred candidates that have basic security officer license and the 36-hour armed license would be optimal.
• One of our facilities in Milwaukee.
