Job summary

Diversified Protection Corporation seeks an Armed Security Officer for The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. This role protects assets, visitors and staff in a federal facility, with patrols, access control and incident reporting.

You will need U.S. citizenship, 21+ years old, HS diploma or GED, and fluency in English. Knowledge of Iowa security requirements and handgun permit handling is preferred; pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in read, write and speak English.
• 2 years armed security experience preferred.
• United States citizenship required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must have or be able to obtain Iowa security certifications (Security Guard Card, Handgun Permit) and related firearms qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs security patrols.
• Enforces access control procedures.
• Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
• Investigates and writes reports on incidents, safety hazards and other security events.
• Provides assistance to customers, employees and visitors following procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
