Job summary

GCI Security, Inc. in the Greater St. Louis Area is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Evening/Overnight).

You will provide a strong, visible security presence at high‑risk sites, deter crime, and respond decisively to threats while upholding safety and client peace of mind. Starting pay is $21.00–$22.00 per hour (depending on site and experience) with long‑term earnings potential through our Fast-Track Leadership Program; we promote from within and offer training, licensing reimbursement, and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Armed security license or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must demonstrate firearms proficiency and pass a weapons qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a strong, visible security presence to deter threats and maintain a safe environment.
• Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to monitor premises and perimeters.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies or suspicious activity with sound judgment.
• Enforce access control procedures and manage entry to secure areas.
• De-escalate tense situations using calm, confident communication.
