Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to deliver armed protective services for a high-profile client in the East Bay area. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond to incidents with professionalism and strict adherence to security procedures.

The role requires valid armed credentials, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain state/local licensing. Excellent communication and quick decision-making are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving company or customer owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Federal and state firearms qualifications.
• NWDTP certification.
• OC, Baton and handcuffing certification.
• Defensive and de-escalation tactics certification.
• Minimum of two years armed security OR equivalent experience.
• Minimum age 21+; ability to operate radios/monitors.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Attention to detail and problem solving; able to handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security services to protect people and property.
• Build and maintain relationships with client staff and visitors.
• Report safety concerns and incidents in writing and verbally.
• Respond to emergencies following protocols.
• Follow site-specific directions and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees; assist as needed.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor phones, CCTV, and alarm systems.
