Allied Universal in Whiteville, NC is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer – Armed Driver Patrol to protect government facilities and other clients. You will operate patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security concerns while delivering professional customer service in a team-oriented environment.

This driving position offers a $21.50 per hour pay rate, a daytime schedule, and opportunities to claim additional shifts through our platform.

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report irregularities or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, inspections, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
