Job summary

Allied Universal in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Equipment Readiness. You will provide security services, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

The role is 40.00 USD per hour with a part-time schedule. Training and shift flexibility are available through our platform, with opportunities for growth within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• 40 caliber endorsement required.
• California weapons permit with a 9mm endorsement.
• A valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or potential security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site leadership.
• Complete required reports, maintain logs, and follow post orders and security protocols.
