Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public while carrying out access-control procedures at a government location.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs, maintain visitor logs, and issue/recover access badges.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorised access.
• Complete accurate activity reports and required records, communicating with site personnel and leadership.
