Armed Special Police Officer (On-Call) – Locations in the Washington, DC area

Location Type: Critical Infrastructure Protection Assignment

WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS MANDATORY VALENTIS COMPANY FIREARM QUALIFICATION

MUST HAVE CURRENT/VALID SPO CERTIFICATION

We are currently hiring for on-call, as-needed Armed Special Police Officers for various locations in Washington, DC, to provide armed protection for critical infrastructure. These are temporary assignments; each shift can be up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
• Write detailed incident reports.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Availability to respond within 48-72 hours when dispatched by Valentis.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid DC SPO certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Special Police Officer.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Climb stairs.
• Good vision and hearing.
