Maryland Armed Security Officer (On-Call)

Location Type: Critical Infrastructure Protection Assignment

WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS MANDATORY VALENTIS COMPANY FIREARMS QUALIFICATION

We are currently hiring for on-call, as needed, Maryland Armed Security Officers, for various locations in Maryland, around the Washington, DC area, to provide armed protection for critical infrastructure assignments. These positions are temporary assignments; however, each shift can be up to 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of clients and their property.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
• Write detailed reports of incidents and activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess a valid current Maryland Armed Guard Certification issued by the Marland State Police
• Must have availability to respond within 48-72 hours when dispatched by Valentis.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from locations. Public transportation cannot work for these details.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Armed Security Officer.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Must have good vision and hearing.
