Job summary

Allied Universal® in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time CPO Armed Patrol to safeguard clients in financial institutions and other locations. The role involves armed patrols, monitoring access, and delivering professional customer service while following site procedures.

We require a CPO certification, armed guard license (preferred), high school diploma, and successful background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Armed-role age 21+.
• Background check conducted by employer.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training participation.
• Licensing may be required before employment.
• Driver's license needed for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and applicable laws.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and coordinate with management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when needed.
