Job summary

Weber Blackstone HQ in Hyde Park is seeking an Armed Security Officer to provide a visible, professional security presence. The role protects employees, visitors, contractors, executives, and assets through patrols, access control, monitoring security systems, and incident response.

This part-time afternoon shift (12 PM – 5 PM) requires at least a 21-year-old applicant, Utah licensing, and the ability to carry a firearm legally.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and meet Utah firearm carry requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Utah driver's license with clean driving record.
• Current Utah DOPL Armed Private Security Officer license or ability to obtain on hire.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm under Utah law.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in report writing and documentation.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment under stress.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work the specified shift with occasional flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus, parking lots, and surrounding property.
• Monitor access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarms, and related security tech.
• Verify credentials; enforce access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, emergencies; coordinate with responders.
• Provide first response to medical emergencies until aid arrives.
• Assist with evacuations and emergency response operations.
• Prepare incident reports, security logs, and daily activity records.
• Maintain patrol coverage and adapt shift times as needed.
