• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence in accordance with laws and Allied Universal policies and site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and emergency personnel.

As a Armed Security Officer - Assembly Hall in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, congregants, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a cultural and religious institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, entrances, gathering spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and responding emergency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
