Job summary

Missouri Department of the National Guard seeks an armed security and law enforcement professional to join the United States Air Force Security Forces within the Office of the Adjutant General at Rosecrans Memorial Airport, Saint Joseph, MO. You will defend state resources and protect aircraft, personnel, and equipment.

You will patrol bases, control access, credential personnel, respond to alarms, perform incident investigations, and participate in weapons qualifications and Use of Force

Qualifications

• Must complete a DoD law enforcement training program or be eligible for peace officer commission.
• Must be at least 18 to appointment or 21 to be commissioned, armed security experience acceptable at 21+.
• Must pass medical and physical fitness evaluations and background investigations; maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security and protection to aircraft, equipment, persons, and military resources.
• Patrol the installation, monitor access gates, credential personnel, and inspect vehicles.
• Detain suspects, conduct searches, and contact local police when necessary.
• Respond to alarms; assist during fire evacuations and incidents; maintain safety.
• Investigate incidents and prepare concise reports; provide court testimony when required.
• Participate in training and certifications, including weapons qualifications and Use of Force.
