Expected Responsibilities:

• Patrol on foot or vehicle, observing and maintaining security at client facilities, stations, bus stops, and public areas, detecting damage, misuse, or theft; issuing warnings, making citizen’s arrests
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas of client facilities and right-of-ways
• Interface with the public, providing information about system use and other necessary details
• Prepare and submit security reports and assist investigators as needed
• Participate in special enforcement activities, including fare inspections and passenger counts
• Respond effectively to calls for assistance
• Maintain sensitivity to client’s culture and uphold a positive brand image
• Treat clients’ employees, invitees, and guests with courtesy and respect

Qualifications:

• Must possess an Exposed Firearms Permit
• Must possess a current guard card
• CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification required
• Valid California Driver's License required
• Must be 21 years or older
• Ability to perform emergency duties including standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., and running

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, and write English.
