Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Armed Security Officer to protect our clients’ assets, ensure the safety of personnel, and maintain a secure environment. This role requires a strong sense of vigilance, a high level of responsibility, and adherence to all security protocols and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military police, or corrections and must be capable of handling a firearm responsibly.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying potential security breaches or hazards
  • Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally
  • Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access
  • Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary
  • Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents
  • Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement when required

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Experience : Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required
  • Firearms : Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states
  • Training : Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
  • Screenings : Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation (MMPI exam)
  • Physical Fitness : Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
  • Compliance : Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
  • Schedule Flexibility : Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
  • Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills :

  • Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs as needed
