Security Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the 1st shift in Alabama. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, enforcing security policies, and carrying a firearm as required by state regulations.

You will perform walking patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and maintain detailed logs. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Job Description:

An Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. This role requires the officer to carry a firearm and respond to potential threats with appropriate judgment and professionalism.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Security Operations
Conduct regular walking patrols to improve safety and proactively identify and report security concerns.
Monitor facility access points, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises.
Enforce security procedures as outlined in the Security Post Instructions.
Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents using established protocols.
Maintain detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and observations for reporting and analysis.
Execute routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, activating/deactivating security systems, and monitoring surveillance feeds.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting and addressing concerns of visitors and employees.
Ensure compliance with SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking violations).
Maintain a professional appearance in a clean and pressed uniform.

Supervisory Responsibilities:No

The State ofALrequires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer/Guard License issued byASRBwhen providing any regulated activities in the State ofAL.
This role has the following special qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must pass Armed training and possess a valid pistol permit.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful work environment.
Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed.
A curious nature that helps you remain aware of activities around you.
Ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in critical situations.
Basic computer experience and ability to use a tablet for security reports.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Productivity Suite.
