Job summary

PGSUSA – Protecting What Matters Since 1996 is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part Time) in Milwaukee, WI. The role requires maintaining a visible, professional presence to deter incidents and protect people and property.

Responsibilities include responding to security incidents, de-escalating conflicts, documenting reports, coordinating with law enforcement, and complying with Michigan armed security regulations. A high school diploma and an armed security license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid armed security license.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
• One of our facilities in Detroit MI.

• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.

• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security licensure in Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.
