Job Skills / Requirements

• Must have a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License and Driver's License.
• Firearm and Full Duty Belt provided at no cost.

Scope: Armed Security Officers protect the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, and visitors against criminal activity. Responsibilities include controlling access at a local military headquarters, serving as a point of contact for visitors, and ensuring security through patrols and monitoring.

Schedule

• 0640-1910 (1st shift) or 1840-0710 (2nd shift)
• Full-time (30-39 hrs/week) or Part-time (24+ hrs/week) with overtime opportunities. Open availability preferred.

Compensation

• Rate: $21.50/hour
• Benefits include dental, vision, life insurance, and more (eligibility requirements apply).

Location: Battle Creek, Michigan

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Guard posts at entry/exit points of the military base.
• Conduct patrols to ensure safety.
• Check IDs and monitor for suspicious activity.
• Follow site-specific guidelines and document incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License.
• High school diploma or GED.
• No felony convictions; pass background check.
• Pass drug tests at hire and annually.
• U.S. citizen.
• Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean record.
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Experience in law enforcement, military, or armed security preferred.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 70 pounds and passing a Physical Agility Test.
