Job summary

LRLV Security LLC in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Armed Security Officer to safeguard employees, facilities, and high-value collectibles. The role requires active Florida Class D and Class G licenses, a valid driver's license, and strong observation skills.

You will patrol, monitor systems, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed reports in a professional environment. This full-time onsite position offers 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $23 per hour and a benefits package

Qualifications

• Florida Class D and G licenses are required.
• Minimum age 21.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Prior armed security experience preferred.
• Military, law enforcement, or related safety background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols inside the facility.
• Monitor surveillance, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies promptly.
• Control entrance/exit of staff, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Verify credentials and ensure access procedures.
• Operate screening equipment as needed.
• Complete incident reports and logs.
• Communicate professionally with staff and visitors.
• Exercise sound judgment during security incidents.
• Protect assets and ensure safety of all personnel.
• Assist with additional security tasks as assigned.

ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Sarasota, FL | Onsite | Full-Time | $23.00/Hour | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

LRLV Security LLC (License #B1800240) is currently looking for an Armed Security Officer to join our Security Operations team in Sarasota, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting employees, visitors, facilities, and high-value collectible assets through proactive security measures, vigilant observation, controlled access, and rapid response to security incidents.

What You Will Do As An Armed Security Officer

• Perform security patrols throughout the facility.
• Monitor security systems, surveillance equipment, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• Control and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Verify credentials and ensure compliance with facility access procedures.
• Operate metal detection and screening equipment when required.
• Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and documentation of unusual events.
• Professionally communicate and interact with employees, visitors, and customers.
• Exercise sound judgment and take appropriate action during security incidents and emergency situations.
• Safeguard company assets while ensuring the safety and security of all employees and visitors.
• Support additional security operations and duties as assigned.

What Makes You The Ideal Candidate

• Current Florida Class D Security Officer License (REQUIRED).
• Current Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License (REQUIRED).
• Candidates without active Class D and Class G licenses will not be considered.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to protecting people and property.
• Prior armed security experience is strongly preferred.
• Military, law enforcement, corrections, or related public safety experience preferred.
• Experience working in high-security, asset protection, or controlled-access environments is highly desirable.
