Job summary

IronRock Security in Newark, NJ is seeking an Armed Security Officer to oversee access control at a healthcare center. Strong presence, communication, and prior access-control experience are required. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for growth within IronRock Security. Weekend and shift flexibility may be required to ensure full coverage.

Part time- Mon - Tues 2pm-10pm

Position Overview:

IronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced Armed Security Officer to oversee access control at a healthcare center in Newark, NJ. This role requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and prior experience with access control. The guard will help ensure site coverage, support fellow officers, and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for growth within IronRock Security.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor access control points

• Conduct regular patrols of the residential property

• Perform occasional mobile patrols as needed

• Write clear incident and daily activity reports

• Support scheduling coordination and communicate staffing needs

• Maintain a professional and customer-friendly presence

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately

Requirements:

• 4+ years of armed security experience with a concealed carry permit required

• Access control experience required

• Valid driver's license (required for periodic mobile patrols)

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Compensation & Benefits:

• $25-27/hour

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available

• Medical insurance available to full-time employees working 30+ hours
