Job summary

Blueline Security Services in Laurel, MD seeks dedicated Security Officers to protect properties and deter theft across apartment complexes, retail sites, and mail facilities. You will observe, report, and respond to incidents while maintaining strong client relations.

The role offers $23 per hour with a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and paid time off. Part-time shifts run Wed–Sat (28 hours); full-time opportunities may arise by picking up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for armed positions).
• MD Security Guard Card and MD Wear and Carry Permit required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and local laws.

Blueline Security Services is seeking dedicated, professional, and licensed (or have the ability to be licensed) Security Officers/ Guards in DC Maryland and Virginia. These positions cover a wide range of posts and duties to include; property protection, theft deterrence, observing/ reporting in apartment complexes, retail stores, mailing facilities, and many more.

Shift Info:

• Location: Laurel MD.
• Pay Rate: $23 / Hour.
• Shifts: Part-Time (1500-2200) Full-time possible if shifts are picked up at other locations.
• Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (28 hours)
• Positions Available: One position available.

• Contact Emergency Services in an emergency situation.
• Address client staff's security needs.
• Work alongside a dispatch center and execute dispatch orders.

Basic Requirements:

• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least 5 years of verifiable work experience.
• You must be at least 18 years of age (21 for armed positions).
• You must have a MD Security Guard Card.
• You must have a MD Wear and Carry Permit.

Core Skills:

We're looking for people with strong verbal and written communication skills who are comfortable interacting with the public. You should be an active listener with excellent problem-solving skills, able to quickly and accurately assess and evaluate any situation. Excellent conflict resolution skills and a tactful approach are also essential.

Additionally, you should be comfortable operating radio, telephone equipment, and console monitors. Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clearly and accurately are also essential.

• A valid driver's license may be required for positions that involve operating a company or customer-owned vehicle.
