Role Purpose

The Armed Security Officer provides continuous patrols of the medical center, remaining attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, volunteers, staff, employees, and hospital property.

Responsibilities

1. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position.
2. Responds to emergency situations according to approved, established Security Department protocol.
3. Ensures equipment issued and used during duties is properly maintained.
4. Provides continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center.
5. Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, disturbances, fires, and disaster drills.
6. Completes proper documentation on all patrol activities and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• No experience required; supervisory experience a plus.

• Applicable government regulations
• Valid Driver's License
