POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has opportunities for part-time Armed Security Officers. The Armed Security Officer includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties such as responding to calls/incidents, securing/safeguarding specific scenes, and performing crowd control as required. The officer will also conduct personnel, vehicular, and building facility inspections; as well as First Aid and CPR as required. Completing all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security application is essential.

The officer must safely maintain and qualify with assigned weapons, maintain uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies, operate a patrol vehicle in a safe manner, conduct flag protocols, safeguard all assets, provide motorist assistance, and escort persons and equipment as needed. Conducting other assignments in accordance with established SOPs is also required. Familiarity with various security systems such as CCTV, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications is necessary.

• Respond to a variety of calls/incidents, secure/safeguard crime scenes, perform crowd control as required, conduct personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks, provide First Aid and CPR as required, and complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation IAW established procedures.
• Enforce regulations designed to prevent security breaches.
• Staff post continuously and provide access control; deter/report unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry, direct traffic, provide information to visitors, and screen packages.
• Safely maintain and qualify with assigned weapon, maintain uniform and grooming standards IAW company policies, and operate patrol vehicle in a safe manner.
• Safeguard all assets, provide motorist assistance, and escort persons and equipment.
• Conduct other assignments in accordance with established SOPs.
• Familiarity with security systems including CCTV and mobile security applications.

Pay rate: $17.50 to $20.50 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test.
• Must possess and maintain state-required Armed Security Officer licensing.
• Must possess and maintain state-required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable).
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.
