Job Summary

The security officer is responsible for the safety and security of the people, product, property, and information of the Company. The primary focus of the security officer is to serve as a deterrent to theft while providing a high level of customer service to all existing and potential clients.

The security officer will adhere to all Company security policies and procedures and ensure compliance by all employees. Additionally, the security officer will provide security services at offsite locations, including international sites when required.

Key Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

• Protect and monitor people, property, information, and premises using personal observation and electronic techniques
• Maintain situational awareness, assess risks, and scrutinize merchandise control
• Provide excellent customer service, acting as an ambassador for the Company
• Greet and acknowledge clients upon entry and thank them upon exit
• Communicate appropriately with employees, tenants, and visitors to ensure smooth security operations and compliance
• Strictly follow Company policies, security standards, and operational protocols
• Monitor, document, and enforce procedural rules and regulations
• Patrol, secure, and inspect facilities internally and externally
• Deterrence and active stopping of unauthorized activity
• Analyze issues and complete formal investigations
• Maintain logs, records, and reports; use computer systems for data entry and retrieval
• Respond to alarms as needed
• Complete security projects and assignments on schedule and to standard
• Control access points and ensure equipment functions properly
• Work effectively within teams and assist with opening and closing procedures
• Perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications

• Must hold a concealed weapons permit (CCW)
• At least 5 years of law enforcement or luxury security retail experience
• No criminal record; demonstrate honesty and integrity
• Willing to undergo background checks and testing
• Relevant higher education qualification, preferably in security
• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a multicultural setting
• Interpersonal skills to work respectfully with all levels of staff and clients
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Flexible to work shifts as required
