Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect client sites across Denver metro, Aurora and Brighton.

This full-time role involves patrolling, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors. Candidates should have at least two years of armed experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently and calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

Wage Range: $25.00-$27.50/HR

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. Our highly sought after Armed Security Officer positions include full training. If you have experience in security, law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role.

Basic Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of armed experience required.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
• Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular).
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
