Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking an Armed Security Guard to oversee the security of the assigned site. You will patrol, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, assist the public, and monitor CCTV to prevent incidents.

Starting at an unarmed rate during a 90-day training period, you will advance to an armed officer with a higher hourly rate upon successful completion of the training and required Armed Officer Training Program. A valid armed license is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of related security experience.
• Active Armed Security license required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Armed Officer Career Path: Candidates hired for this position will begin at the unarmed rate of $22.50 per hour during a 90-day training and evaluation period. After successfully completing the 90-day period and the required Armed Officer Training Program, employees will be promoted to an armed officer role with a pay increase to $25.50 per hour.

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
