Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking an Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety of our designated site. You will perform regular patrols, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, assist the public, and monitor CCTV as part of a vigilant, customer-focused team.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with progression to $29.00 per hour upon FOID card receipt. Candidates must be flexible and able to meet scheduling needs in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid PERC Card, a 40-Hour Training Certificate, and a current Requalification Certificate.
• Applicants must provide their own firearm, bulletproof vest, and Level 3 holster.

Job description

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Active Armed Security license
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
