Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Guard Vehicle Patrol in Adelanto, CA. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible patrols, and respond to security-related concerns at a tech/media location. The role requires armed credentials and adherence to site procedures.

Daytime and overnight shifts are available; starting pay is $26.00 per hour. A background check and drug screen apply, with opportunities for growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• California Weapons Permit with 9mm endorsement required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
